What is Reiki?
Master Mikao Usui was given the vibrational healing energy now known as Reiki whilst spending time alone in meditation on Mount Kurama in Japan.
Usui was a seaker of knowledge and spiritual understanding, it is said that he received "enlightenment" during this time which he shared with others in an attempt to help heal and raise consciousness.
Reiki translates to Universal Life Energy, when practicing Reiki we attune to life force energy which increases the flow of healthy energy in and around the clients body to reduce stress, promote healing, activate chakras, develop spirituality and much more.
So how did I become a Reiki Master?
Honestly?
Reiki saved my life.
During an incredibly challenging period of my life, I was experiencing extreme chronic pain, fatigue, weakness and was at a stage where I didn't know where to turn any more, I tried all types of traditional medicine, modern medicine and everything in between. I even spent over $30k to see a private medical doctor in the US to no avail.
As I was trying EVERYTHING, I came across Reiki and thought I would try that too, I was on my last legs (literally) as my legs felt as though they were going to be paralysed, I had my first Reiki session and during those 50 minutes it was as if all the pain in my body had just lifted.
It was magic.
Also, during this session, I was asking God/ The Universe for a miracle, I needed divine intervention and that's exactly what I received, the word Endometriosis kept coming to me as I was meditated during my session. I hadn't heard of it before but as soon as I left I remember frantically googling what it was...
OMG
This is what I have!
I again went to ALL the doctors and specialist trying to convince them, only to be brushed off with "You don't have the typical symptoms, are you sure you're not just stressed"?
It wasn't until I went to see a private surgeon who informed me, we wouldn't know until they cut me open. I knew this was it so I was ready, and low and behold I was diagnosed (finally)!
I undertook 2 excision surgeries after this and finally got my life back (thank you REIKI).
Since then I became a Reiki Master and I have also trained in other energy healing modalities since but Reiki really did give me my life back.
